The valley's new golf battleground is ready for combat. Virginia
National is located on the eastern banks of the Shenandoah River
in Clarke County. Virginia National features some of the most breathtaking
golf holes in the area.
Seven holes are riverside holes, while two others including the
Par 5 fifteenth, pictured here, are mountain holes. Virginia National
is not aggressively long, stretching out to 6766 yards, but the
natural hazards you will encounter provide plenty of challenge for
anyone's game. Generous fairways and large greens tell you to hit
the ball straight, but if you stray, there's the river, creeks and
lakes, tall trees, wild grass and carefully placed bunkering.
The owners have waited patiently to open Virginia National, allowing
the course to grow into a very mature looking new golf course. Make
this one part of your next golf trip. The natural beauty and challenge
will blow you away. Located off Route 7 at the Shenandoah River
bridge in Clarke County.
