Shenvalee Resort

The Shenvalee Resort's beautiful 27-hole PGA course first opened in 1927 with Bobby Jones performing the honors. You'll discover enjoyable and relaxing golf at The Shenvalee in the historic Shenandoah Valley.

Shenvalee has five sets of tees to adapt to all players. Rye grass fairways, bentgrass greens and rolling countryside terrain make The Shenvalee an area favorite. The original Olde Nine is a traditional layout, while the Miller and Creek Nines combine a mixture of classic and modern golf architecture.

Located just off Interstate 81 in New Market, VA, The Shenvalee Resort has long been a golf outing destination point for many. The course is always in great condition and the down-home southern hospitality is exceptional. Shenvalee caters to golf groups with lodging and a restaurant on site, plus shopping and other attractions nearby.

Directions to The Shenvalee Resort

From Washington DC

  • Take I-66 to I-81South.
  • Follow I-81 South to exit 264.
  • Follow the signs approximately 1 mile to the Shenvalee.

From Roanoke

  • Take I-81 north to the Mauzy, Timberville, Broadway exit.
  • Turn right on Rt. 11 North.
  • Follow approximately 6 miles to The Shenvalee Entrance.

–Or–

  • Follow I-81 North to the New Market exit. Turn righton Rt. 211.
  • Follow to Rt. 11.
  • Turn right on Rt. 11.
  • Follow for approximately 1 mile to The Shenvalee Entrance.

From Richmond / Tidewater Area

  • Take I-64 West through Charlottesville and Waynesboro to the I-81 Intersection.
  • Follow I-81 North to Exit 264.
  • Turn right on Rt. 211.
  • Follow to Rt. 11 and turn right.
  • Go approximately 1 mile on Rt. 11 to The Shenvalee entrance.
