Prince William Golf Course is known as the "Home of Value
Golf in Northern Virginia." The facility ranks among the area's
most historic and reasonably priced golf courses.
Built in the 1960s by a group of farmers who traded their tractors
for golf carts, this course's inauspicious beginnings set it apart
from some of the more modern properties. As such, you have an appealing
layout that is wide-open by comparison to some of the tight courses
found nearby. The result is a course that favors better scoring.
The Par 70 course is 6,635 yards in length and features one of
the area's finest driving ranges. In a 2002 National Golf Foundation
survey, staff friendliness was rated as the highest attribute at
Prince William. The popular course is now back under the management
of the Prince William County Park Authority, who are in the process
of a major course and clubhouse renovation.
