Pendleton Golf Club is one of Virginia's most exciting new and picturesque golf courses. Pendleton opened to the public in September of 2006 and is located mid-point between Richmond and Washington, D.C. in Ruther Glen.
Named after Virginia's first acting governor Edmund Pendleton, this course lives up to it's lofty namesake. Designed by Thomas Walker, former lead designer at the Gary Player Design Company, this spectacular layout combines creative mounding and undulating greens to challenge all levels of players.
Pendleton Golf Club has become a popular destination for area tournaments and outings. The course stretches to over 7000 yards from the back tees, while ladies will find the 4500 yard length accommodating. There are five sets of tees in all. Walker routed the course through the thick woods of Ruther Glen. The course is part of The Pendleton Community, with housing that does not disturb the golf.
Pendleton also features one of the best practice facilities and driving ranges in the Mid-Atlantic. The grass tee alone at the range is OVER an acre. This outstanding amenity to the course also includes a 9000 square foot putting green, chipping green and practice bunkers.
The Pendelton Golf Club Pro Shop carries a variety of top quality golf equipment, apparel and accessories for golfers of all skill levels and price ranges.
