Getting Back to Nature

This April, one of the region's premier golf courses, Virginia National Golf Club, will open their rustic log cabin clubhouse. General Manager Cliff Boyd chose this look to correspond with the course and area. It certainly fits with the "Nature's Gift to Golf" theme. The course promotes the natural and historical beauty of the area with its natural waterfalls and abundant wildlife, not to mention the Shenandoah River and Blue Ridge mountains.

The facility will feature 16-foot cathedral ceilings, a pro shop, a full-service snack bar, Boyd's Nest cocktail lounge and an outdoor deck, where you can rehash your round with a cold beverage.

In only its second full year of operation after opening in July of 1999, Virginia National has already established itself as one of the area's best conditioned and challenging golf layouts. With the addition of the new clubhouse facility, Virginia National is now ready to handle any corporate outings. A large pavilion graces the ground for that extra large get together.

Last year, Virginia National initiated a four-event schedule called the "Player's Series." These tournaments are open to all golfers and draw some of the best players in the four-state region.
