Rocky Point Golf Course

One of the most beautiful courses that the Free State has to offer is Rocky Point Golf Course on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. This long standing stalwart of the Baltimore County Golf five course contingent, Rocky Point provides an outstanding golf value. Don't be fooled by the 6683-yard length. Rocky Point is at sea level and plays much longer around a varying array of water hazards. The front nine is relatively flat and open while the back nine features abundant elevation changes, tree-lined fairways, and stunning views of the Chesapeake. Rated 4 stars by Golf Digest, Rocky Point is a terrific daily fee and makes an ideal location for your next golf outing with their outdoor waterproof pavilion overlooking the bay. Located on Back River Road in Essex.

Directions to Rocky Point Golf Course

From Washington DC and Northern VA

  • Take I-95 North toward Baltimore
  • Merge onto I-695 South toward Essex via Exit 64A
  • Merge left onto Route 702 South via Exit 36 toward Essex
  • Stay on Route 702 South for 4.2 miles
  • Take a slight right onto Back River Neck Rd.
  • Proceed for about 3 miles, Rocky Point is on your left

From York, Pennsylvania via I-83 South

  • Take I-83 South into Maryland
  • Take I-695 East toward Towson
  • Take I-695 to Exit 36 (Route 702 South) for 7 miles
  • Route 702 turns into Back River Neck Rd. for 4 miles
  • Merge Right onto Back River Neck Rd. for 3 miles
  • Rocky Point is on the left of Back River Neck Rd.
