One of the Mid-Atlantic's most popular golf destinations each
year is the scenic Cacapon Resort State Park. This challenging championship
golf venue is set in the rolling foothills of the 2,300 foot Cacapon Mountain and is the centerpiece of the 6,000 acre park near Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.
Designed by famous golf course designer Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the layout makes prime use of the rolling hills at the base of the ridge. Rated as one of the 130 best designed courses in the United States, this outstanding facility features 73 well-placed sand bunkers and three ponds. Holes 4 and 8 share a double green that is more than 100 yards wide. USA Today put Cacapon on its list of the “Top 100 Golf Courses” in the country.
The resort is located 30 minutes from I-81 on Route 522, and just two hours from Baltimore and Washington, DC.
